Freshly ground spice blends by mail with RawSpiceBar

March 10, 2015

Wouldn't it be great if a chef showed up at your door once a month to cook you a special meal with his or her own personal spice blends, freshly ground just for you? RawSpiceBar inspires you to be that chef with their spice by mail subscription service, sending you a package of unique spice blends from around the world with recipes and cooking tips every month.

The custom-designed monthly spice boxes, available in Canada and the US, include three to four premium spice blends, freshly ground and sourced from global spice producers for you to try in your own kitchen. And the price for this tasty delivery is just $6 a month, a great deal for these high-end spice blends and the accompanying recipes and cooking inspiration. RawSpiceBar subscriptions are available for purchase online with 3 month subscription for $18, 6 months for $35 or 12 months for $68, subscriptions can be paused or cancelled at any time and gift subscriptions are available.

Each monthly spice box has a theme as you travel around the spice routes of the world, from Native America to Persian, each month delving into different flavours with a celebrity chef guiding you through recipes that highlight the spices and region of the month. Each package includes spice origin information, instructions on use and storage, recipe cards and addition recipe idea suggestions with various options for different eating styles including vegetarian, gluten-free, healthy cooking and more.

I've been inspired every time I've opened a new monthly package, reading about international locations I've never been to, learning about spices I've never tried before, then making meals, breads and desserts with the spices. Some of the recipes are simple and others are a labour of love, either way it's quite fun to try them and the resulting meals have been delicious and unique.

I'll be back later this month with another RawSpiceBar post about my experience cooking an complete dinner with spices of the month from the included recipes. In the meantime, enter the RawSpiceBar Giveaway below to win a three month subscription and check out the RawSpiceBar website and social media links to learn more.

I love that I got a chance to smell the Native American spices!! It was an intriguing mix.

I'm looking forward to hearing out the recipes turn out!

I seem to not be able to do without cumin for the last little while

What a totally fabulous idea!

Wow! This is such a neat monthly subscription!
I can't live without cumin. I think it's one of the spices I'd take with me on a desert island. I think it's 'cause I'm half Egyptian and my favourite meal any time of day is fool (fava beans mashed up with salt, pepper, lots of lemon, olive oil, and cumin). I think I'd panic if I didn't have the ingredients on hand to make it at all times ;)

Oh man, a spice I can't live without, that's hard! I'd have to go with cinnamon or cumin too. This is such a neat concept, I love it!

Whoa! This sounds like an amazing concept. I definitely couldn't live without cinnamon, I even carried some around with me in my backpack when I was traveling through Europe lol! I also go through phases with different spices like chili powder and cumin!

I can't live without grains of paradise

Although a lot of spice are enjoyed at our house we can't live without pepper.

We're loving the fresh herbs we just bought on our patio, but when it comes to spices.... my guy and I both agree that cumin is mandatory in our pantry. What a great idea.... would LOVE to have new and exciting things to try every month.
